I don’t have wings. I do however have a plane ticket and planes have wings so I can still technically fly. And when I say ‘I’, I actually mean myself and Lyvette but she can’t be bothered to write a blog (yes it was her idea). Apparently she’s not good at story writing. She is very good at being dramatic though, which combined with my ability to create a tale about eating a slice of toast could prove extremely useful to me as the nominated story teller.
Starting at the beginning of this story, what actually happened was, I decided I needed an adventure. There are few things that scare me in life, these things include sharks, being stuck in a job I hate (for the record I actually love my job), boredom and becoming stale. I also have a slight phobia of holding hands but apparently that’s slightly irrational and also irrelevant to this blog. I hate being bored and I like to experience new things. Those who know me will know that I rarely stay in one place and I often travel for business and pleasure (take that as you wish) and this has been my life for quite a while now.
As we all know adventures come in various shapes and sizes. Some with a work promotion, a wedding ring a sporting challenge or numerous other things. Mine comes with wings. Life’s too short to stay in one place so roaming around like nomads in disgusting walking sandals*, trying our hardest not to contract malaria or get bitten by rabid monkeys is our next adventure. We want to see places that we’ve never experienced before. I don’t think either of us are going on a crusade to ‘find ourselves’ (unless we get off our chops, then we’d like to find ourselves in the correct continent, sorry mum), we are simply going to have a bloody good time, see new things, live life to the full and hopefully learn some stuff along the way, quite frankly because…why not?!!
Back to the beginning again: So I decided it may be time for me to spread my plane type wings and Lyvette decided this was actually a very good idea (I am full of good ideas) and that she also wanted in on the wing act. And here we are with a one way ticket to some country we can’t even pronounce (only kidding, I know how to say India) bags packed full to the brim with Imodium, vile sandals and a mosquito net that we don’t know how to put up.
What could possibly go wrong?!
We’re not entirely sure where we’re going, or when we’re coming back, but that’s part of the adventure right?
So if you fancy following us on our very disorganised tour of the world then this blog is for you. We can’t exactly tell you where this tour is going to go or how it will end, but we’re pretty sure there will be a few stories.
We’ll be sure to make them good ones!
Bye for now, Heather 🙂
*Yes they really are that disgusting. I actually vomited just looking at them. Even the old man at the bus stop told me to take them back. But they’re comfy and will apparently be a saving grace for my hobbit feet, so that’s all that matters.

You guys, you guys!
I am excited to hear your stories…I know for sure you two will have many to tell before the end of next week never mind in a year!
Have fun and keep in touch 🐵🐒
